In the calm and serenity of a spring evening, join us for a performance of Faure Requiem in the intimate setting for which it was originally composed. A re-imagined orchestration set for the cozy Redeemer sanctuary will reveal the heart's sorrow and yearning for healing following loss, culminating in a final blessing:

May the angels lead you into paradise:
may the martyrs receive you as you arrive,
and bring you into the holy city of Jerusalem.
May the choir of angels receive you,
and with Lazarus, once a beggar,
may you have eternal rest.

The Requiem will feature soloists Sydney Kaczorowski and Adriel Baralt Jimenez, with chamber choir and orchestra conducted by Fabio Gentili. The program will also include pieces for solo harp by recent Pittsburgh Concert Society Young Artist competition winner Lace Hilboky.
